根據美國娛樂消息網站TMZ報導，他們取得的法律文件顯示，喬強生去年3月承租邁阿密的豪華公寓，當時他效力熱火，租金每個月5500美元（約新台幣17萬元）。
但是房東說，事實上從今年4月至8月，喬強生就分文未付，而且他今年7月與爵士敲定2年2200萬美元合約。他職籃生涯累計的薪資總額已超過2億美元。
房東狀告法院，不只要喬強生把欠繳房租補齊，還要他加倍償還，求償金額是3萬9500美元，並說一旦法官開具逐出令，隨即就要把公寓收回。
喬強生先前曾效力亞特蘭大老鷹隊，後來這位被譽為「鷹王」的球員，投效布魯克林籃網隊被釋出，於是輾轉來到熱火，新球季改披爵士戰袍。他曾9度入選NBA全明星隊。1051101
